Gray Gaulding’s Road Racing History “I have raced a lot of INEX Legend Car races on the road course at Charlotte Motor Speedway which I won the Pro Winter Heat Championship in 2012. Last year I raced a late model at Willow Springs before we raced at VIR and Road Atlanta in the K&N car. I really like road racing, you have to be up on the wheel the entire race.”
On Track Activity at The Glen begins Friday with dual practice sessions from 8:00am-9:20am and 11:00am-12:20pm. NASCAR Road Course qualifying starts at 3:40pm followed by the 51 lap / 124.95 mile Bully Hill Vineyards 125 at 6:15pm. All times are Eastern Standard Time.
Meet Gray at Watkins Glen Friday at the NASCAR K&N Pro Series autograph session from 1:00-1:45pm.
From the Driver’s Seat with Gray Gaulding: “I’m ready for Watkins Glen and I love road racing. It takes a special technique so that you don’t wheel hop, and I have always adapted well to it. We ran good last year at both VIR and Road Atlanta and The Glen has always been one of my favorite courses.”
On top of Box with Crew Chief Doug Howe: “Gray ran extremely well last year at both road races, I know it’s something he enjoys doing and that makes the attitude of the team and shop better when the driver has a positive mindset heading into a track.”
Chassis Facts: Doug Howe has chosen chassis NTS-2077. This is the same chassis Gray race at both VIR and Road Atlanta in 2013.
