Statesville, N.C. (April 5, 2015) Gray Gaulding uses a late race restart to muscle his way to a runner up finish at Greenville Pickens Speedway in his debut with Precision Performance Motorsports. Gaulding qualified the No.12 Krispy Kreme Coffee Toyota 11th after posting the eighth and second quickest times in the days pair of practice sessions.

When the green flag dropped for the scheduled 150 laps, Gaulding quickly took what was given but immediately began to save his equipment. The race began split into two seventy-five lap segments, Gaulding used the first seventy-five as a test session for the final stint. Gaulding was able to position himself to be on the inside row when the final caution came late in the race resulting in a green, white, checkered finish.

From the Driver’s Seat with Gray Gaulding: “This was a great way for myself, Mr. Gdovic, Charles, and the entire Precision Performance Motorsports team to start off our season together. I’m ready for Bristol (Motor Speedway) it’s my favorite track and Charles has a great package for there.”

On top of Box with Crew Chief Charles Denike: “Gray did an excellent job all day today. I am really proud of the way he and the entire team performed in our debut together.  We were fast off the trailer and executed a solid plan all day through the race. The green-white-checkered finish was exciting and Gray earned the 2nd place finish for us.”

Looking Ahead… The NASCAR K&N Pro Series East will be back on track Saturday, April 18 for the PittLite 125 at Bristol Motor Speedway.
